We held our July meeting at Jason’s Deli in Schaumburg. It was a small but fun gathering of fellow enthusiasts. Two brave members dared to drive their Chevelles to the meeting. Dennis, John, and I had decided to leave ours home in their garages clean and dry. We welcomed back a past member, Mark Jacobs. Mark was a member in the late 80’s, early 90’s. At that time he had moved to Florida and just a few weeks ago moved back to the Chicago land area. He wondered if the club was still in existence and did a google search and found us. Mark has a very impresive 69 that he has owned for many years. It has seen some serious track time on the Sebring road racing course while it was in Florida with Mark. Mark was accompanied by his brother Tim that owns a pretty wicked sounding Camaro. Jim Holbach, who first started the club, and his wife surprised us with a visit also. We will hold our August meeting at Jason’s Deli on the 8th. Here are a couple photos of Mark’s Chevelle.
